Dr. Fritz Trybus has been a veterinarian in the area for over 10 years.  Being a veterinarian is not just a job to him, it is part of who he is and has always been his calling in life.  Prior to establishing the Cary Grove Animal Hospital in June 2012, he practiced at the Animal Hospital of Woodstock in Woodstock, IL.  He also practiced emergency medicine at the Companion Animal Specialty & Emergency Hospital (Previously known as Animal Emergency of McHenry County) in Crystal Lake, IL for several years.  He is excited to have moved Cary Grove Animal Hospital in to its new state of the art location on Route 14 in Cary on April 27, 2015.

Dr. Fritz (as he is known by most of his clients) is proud to see Cary Grove Animal Hospital be recognized in the area as a top quality practice providing the latest advances in veterinary medicine, surgery and dentistry services in a personalized, compassionate manner.  He enjoys sitting down and spending time with people and their pets during an examination.  Dr. Fritz makes sure all questions and concerns are addressed and is always available for follow up questions as needed.  He doesn't take a cookie-cutter approach to medicine, your pet is treated like an individual.  Dr. Fritz enjoys forming long term relationships with clients and their pet family members!

Dr. Fritz enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine - but especially surgery, dentistry and pain management.  One of his main surgical interests is Canine Cruciate Ligament Repair surgery as well as most soft tissue surgeries.

Dr. Fritz believes it is important to give back to the community.  He currently works with area animal shelters and rescues to provide services to those animals in need.  Rescue dogs and cats seem to be some of the best pets out there.  They are always appreciative!

While he mainly treats dogs and cats, Dr. Fritz is also experienced with rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small mammals.  He is a board member of the Rabbit and Cavy (Guinea Pig) Health Committee with the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA).  He has been an ARBA member for over 26 years and a Rabbit Judge for over 15 years.  He contributes by writing medical articles for the Domestic Rabbits magazine.

Dr. Fritz lives in rural McHenry County with a menagerie of his own.  He has dogs, cats, horses, goats, rabbits, chickens and a pot bellied pig!  When not at the Cary Grove Animal Hospital, he enjoys working on his hobby farm, riding his American Paint horses, and raising a herd of Fainting Goats.
